Rome-Fiumicino Airport "Leonardo da Vinci"
Pick-up
from the airport costs 35,00 euro (car, 1-3 persons) 45 (monovolume, 4-5
persons) or 50 (minibus, 6-8 persons). In case,

the arrival to
Rome
. The driver will wait
for you to the "Arrivals" with a paper with written your name. You
will pay directly to driver.
Much practical is the train. You will find this following the signs at
the Airport. Buy a Ticket at the ticketing office within the train
station. Remember to stamp (punch it). Take the train to "Trastevere"
(which leaves every 15 minutes) and get off at "Trastevere" station, and at the
same station take the train to "Cesano-Viterbo" (which leaves every
30 minutes). Get off at "Appiano" station, exit "via Appiano", and you will find yourself
200 metres from the house. For the journey you will need 35 minutes. To that you have to
add the waiting time for the connections.
* From the "Termini" Railway Main Station of Rome
Take Metro line A, (towards "Battistini") and get off at "Cipro" station. In the parking area above the station take the
bus 907, and get off the nearest stop at "Piazza Giovenale". Ask the driver to indicate your stop. The bus station is about
200m from
home.
* From "Ciampino" Airport

With public transports take Metro line A from "Anagnina", there is a bus to
and from the Airport. Take line A (towards "Battistini") gettin off at
"Cipro" station and follow the previous instructions (From the Termini
Station).
* From the Toll-Roads (Autostrade)
From all Toll-Roads leading to Rome, you reach the ring road, or "Grande Raccordo
Anulare"; follow this till you get to "Via Salaria", exit going towards the centre of town. After 5,8 kms
turn right, direction "S. Pietro", "Piazzale Clodio", "Piazza degli Eroi"
(8,4 kms). In this square turn right to "Viale
Medaglie d'Oro" 500 meters and go left then "Piazza Giovenale". You have almost
reached us as we are just off this square! |
